I was in the middle of hosting an important call to all our new employees the other day, which was our first ever teleconference call, and there was a lot of disruptive background noises. I didn't want to mute the call but I didn't know how to get the noises to stop. I called the staff at Eagle teleconferencing and explained my situation. They told me that they would take care of it and that I could get back into the call. And a few seconds later the line that was causing all the static and noise was hung up. The rest of the call was watched by an operator to make sure this problem didn't happen again. I am with a very large medical firm that has numerous accounts with Eagle. Often we host Q & A calls where an operator is on our call at all times to assist with directions on how to ask questions & announce when there is a new question to be asked. I was on a huge conference call last night and there was a lot of noise. The moderators of the conference call kept saying to hit *6 on your phone to mute your line. This is a great idea for conference calls. I think on my next conference call I will have to try this. I know there is an option to mute the whole conference call but I think the moderators wanted to keep the whole conference call open. Moderators can hit *5 to mute out the whole conference call and then they can speak without any noise. I do like this feature also but to keep an open conference call *6 sounds good. I am going to try this on my conference call tonight.

I would not recommend entry & exit tones on conference calls that have 100 or more lines. I made the mistake and requested both entry & exit tones on my conference call that had 200 lines reserved and all I heard was beeping the whole entire conference call which is not good when you're trying to give a presentation. I made sure that right after the conference call was over that I called Eagle Teleconferencing and had the tones removed.

Often we host Q & A calls where an operator is on our call at all times to assist with directions on how to ask questions & announce when there is a new question to be asked. My grandmother has been very sick and we have family all over the states, it is very hard to up date everyone on grandmothers condition. Our company holds a huge conference call every week and as the moderator of the call *5 has saved all of those conference calls. All I have to do is hit *5 and it mutes out all other participants that way I can talk without any disruptions. Then if I ask questions I can hit *5 again and it opens up the conference call so people can answer! What a great feature!

Talk about cutting it close! My boss gave me a deadline to have presentation done via audio conference. At the last minute he decides he wants the conference call recorded to post it so others who are not able to attend can listen at a later time.
